Annelies Holscher-Schouten about her exposition at Louis restaurant:

"My name is Annelies Holscher-Schouten. I grew up in a loving and creative family. We all love art and most of us also practice one or more of its disciplines.

For instance, Anne, my niece and one of the owners of Louis, is passionate about dance. Her compagnon Nicolette is totally into cooking. And as for me, I practice the art of photography. Passionately.

I felt triggered and challenged by Anne's and Nicolette' s invitation to photograph soms dancers of Louis Dance Company in their restaurant.

During the shoot I tried to capture the dancers energy and effort that I witnessed as they moved. I created a clear contrast between dark and light colors as this expresses best the strong contrast between the moving human body on the one hand and the static objects in the space surrounding them on the other hand."
